Privacy Policy

Frostbite Companies Limited ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This notice explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

Who we are
Frostbite Companies Limited is a firm based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. Frostbite Finance is one of its service lines. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected through frostbitefinance.ca (the "site").
What we collect
When you send the contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject, message, your organization and phone number if you fill those fields in, and the address of the page on our site you sent the form from, including any campaign tag in that address. That is stored in our database. Submissions pass through an automated bot-detection check and a rate limit; your IP address is used for those checks at the moment you submit and is not written to the database. You may also write to us by email or phone. Our hosting provider records standard technical data (IP address, request time, browser type, and user agent) to operate and secure the site.
How we use it
We use what you send to reply to you, route your enquiry to the right service area, do the work if we engage, manage correspondence, and keep ordinary business records. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.
Our legal basis
We collect and use personal information on the basis of your consent (given when you contact us) and as needed to take steps toward or carry out an engagement and to meet our legal and business obligations, consistent with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Cookies and tracking
Our analytics provider measures page views without cookies, without building a profile of you, and without advertising pixels. We set no marketing cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP, timestamp, user agent, path) for operational and security purposes.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us run the business, such as our email and hosting providers, and only as needed. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or operations.
Where your data is processed
The site is served by our hosting provider, whose global network may process request data outside Canada. PIPEDA permits cross-border processing where comparable protection is in place; we rely on our hosting provider's contractual and technical safeguards.
Retention
We keep correspondence and related records only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose you gave it, or for business, legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, then dispose of it. You can ask us to delete correspondence, and we will respond subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for our use. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (opens in a new tab).
Links to other sites
The site links to other sites, including frostbitecompanies.ca (opens in a new tab) and fouresse.ca (opens in a new tab). Their privacy practices are their own; this notice covers only frostbitefinance.ca.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS with industry-standard security controls. The strongest protection is the one we already practice: we collect as little as possible, so there is little to expose.
Children
The site is not directed at people under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email legal@frostbitecompanies.ca and we will delete it.
Changes to this notice
When we update this notice, we change the date shown above. We will flag material changes at the top of the page for a reasonable period.
Governing law
This notice is governed by the laws of the Northwest Territories and applicable Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA.
